Yeah I play there every now and then, I think they are 3rd n 4th for my bankroll. I'm currently clearing a bonus elsewhere though and therefore arent playing there for now.

I won't add any money to my account at AP, but I still play there.....but rarely. If I had more money there, I might withdraw and move it elsewhere, but I have just under $100 and I'm not going to sweat it.

My name is Kevin. I joined this forum awhile ago and never really got around to actually posting on it so i decided to do it. I have been playing poker 4 years now. Im not the best by any means, still trying to learn alot about the game. Hoping I can learn a few things along the way at this forum .

I just checked my account (Carbon, since I have no funds at Poker) and the extra money has been placed in the account. It was a great game last night and tough going. Razorbacker played a great heads up match and I got very lucky in this one to win it (sorry about the beat with the KK vs my Q6). Hope to see you all at the next game.

Are they connected?
I still play at AP but not UB. From what I've read UB let this go on for a long time knowing they had the problem. I felt AP cleaned up their mess in a more confident manner. But I don't have enough on either site to make my vote worth spit.

Since I have a decent balance on AP, I still play there. The stakes I play aren't worth the cheater's time so I'm not too worried. I have no balance on UB so I don't play there.

I recently withdrew about three-quarters of what I had at AP. Not primarily a matter of distrust, although the problem did enter my consideration. More a matter of housekeeping. I hadn't gotten around to withdrawing for some time since I didn't have any specific use for the money. So I had a good deal more there than I generally keep on any site. Still have more than enough there for the levels I play. A few bucks at UB too, but never played much there.

The rebuy does promote donkish play , but then again...it also helps protect you against the donks as you can just double rebuy back in and prolly haven't lost much in position. I do believe the key is to play super tight the first hour....but make them pay dearly for drawing against your monster hands. Make sure you stay in for the entire rebuy period. with any luck , you will have doubled or tripled up .....then you do a double add on and you are mostly in the top 25% of the tourney...from there it is up to your skill.

BTW, had an off day (see my post above) and lost about $50 (i should know better than to play on weekends), but then I did manage to snag a 3rd in a $1 rebuy for a nice $78 return...so, back on track.

also made 17th in $7k gtd rebuy/addon $3 entry for $68 (so close.....first was over $1600)

I really dislike rebuy and add on tourneys, when poker is a game of skill it puts, what I believe to be, an unfair spin on the whole game. I'd much rather play a tourny where when you are out you are out, less bingo playing, less based on luck more on skill- You don't get as many crazy players making crazy all in plays. In a rebuy they are still around because they just rebuy.

Give me a freezeout any day

All excellent advice, I use Spybot which is awesome and also MalwareBytes to scan my computer and AVG Free for antivirus but just switched to BitDefender (free version)

Also a really effective easy way to see everything that starts when you turn on your computer is running hijackthis. It can be found for free on the TrendMicro site. You can choose which items to not launch and it scans for more that just virus/malware startup. Absolutly the best tool to evaluate what your computer is doing behind the scenes.

All the programs that I have mentioned here are free ;)just google the program name and look on the site for the free version

i was playing 50 % of my poker on UB from january until may when they changed the tournament schedule. Annie really screwed that up. Now less than 10% on UB because of the changes, not mistrust. I have continued to play at AP steadily also. 20% or so.

Why not. Hopefully it was a one time incident and the correct measures have been put in place to prevent something like what happened from happening again. Freerolls and league games are probably your safest bet ,but for the most part I 'm not worried.

I still play at Absolute when the offer a good bonus. I have only played for money at Ultimate Bet once...several years ago. Never liked the software.

I still play at both, I never play at the limits that were in question anyway.

Had to happen to somebody sooner or later. If there is a way to cheat some low life is going to figure it out. Hopefully they filled up the hole and hired somebody to look for more.

with all the problems that happened with AP and UB in the past, I'm just curious if anyone still does not trust them and refuses to play at either site.

Yup sorry about that all. I have submitted July 15th for the rescheduled date. Originally when I went to submit, Cel's calendar wasnt up yet and I am limited on time frame for being at a PC so took a chance that it wasnt a date being used already as I wanted to get that date submitted as fast as I could as I was sick last week so missed being able to do it sooner.

So unless there is a prob on AP's end for the date submitted, the june bonus game is rescheduled for July 15th at 9pm et and I will be emailing those who qualified/were invited to play in the June bonus game the password a day or two prior to the game.

I have emailed the rep with the date of July 18th at 8:30pm et for the rescheduled day/time for this. It shouldnt be a problem but will update if it ends up being a problem date to go with.
